Sammy's 5th Birthday

Sammy turned 5 this week!  The highlights of the week were Spin Pizza for dinner, Legos from her grandmas and a gymnastic birthday party.  She had a fun week and never failed to remind her brother that she got to be first at everything and make all of the decisions because it was her birthday!

Powell Gardens and the Lego Sculptures

 

After several attempts this summer, we finally made it to Powell Gardens to see the Lego sculptures with the Morris family.  It was well worth the wait.  We had beautiful weather and the sculptures were amazing!  We ended the day cooling off in the fountain.

Marco Island 2013

Last week, we returned to Marco Island for another 8 days in paradise.  This trip, we stayed in a condo at the other end of the Tigertail Beach.  We had amazing balcony views, spectacular sunsets, epic sand castles, fun shelling expeditions and tons of fun swimming in the pool and ocean.  On our last day, we drove up to Sanibel Island and checked out the beach before heading to the airport.

Summer in Omaha

Over the 4th of July weekend, we made our annual (and maybe last) trip to Omaha.  As always, Grandma took us to the zoo.  The kids loved feeding the budgies, watching the sharks and riding the train.  We have some great memories with Grandma at the zoo!
