Halloween 2014

The pumpkins
This year we had another fun and exhausting Halloween!  Sammy was Elsa (one of 5 in her class) and Andy was Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

The World Series

Game 1

After a 29 year drought, the Royals finally made the postseason.  They swept their way into the World Series where they were defeated in a heartbreaking game 7 loss to the San Francisco Giants.  Scott went to Game 1 and took Andy to Game 7.  It was an amazing experience!  Apparently, however, the Coopers do not bring luck to the boys in blue, as they lost both games.

Pumpkin Patch

On Saturday, we made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins.  It was a perfect fall day.

The End of a Season

Andy played his last game of the fall season on Sunday.  They won their final game, going undefeated again.  We celebrated the season with a post game frozen custard with the team.

Renaissance Festival

The kids and I checked out KC Ren Fest for the first time this fall.  They had a great time making magic wands, playing medieval games, getting their face painted, meeting a mermaid, watching pirates sword fight and gypsies dance, shooting a cross bow and eating a turkey leg!  For me, the people watching alone was worth the price of admission.
We found a fairy!

Turkey Leg...mmmmm!

Meeting the Mermaid, for the girls, it was worth the 20 min wait!

Soccer Saturday

On Saturday, Sammy was blessed to have 2 sets of grandparents at her soccer game.  In honor of the occasion, she scored 4 goals!  This is a new record at our house.  It helped that it was 3 v 3 with no goalie.

Sammy's 1st Soccer Game

Sammy has joined Andy as a soccer player.  After spending the summer watching World Cup Soccer with the boys and attending British Soccer camp, she was ready to play!  No soccer outfit is complete without hot pink socks, shorts, shin guards and cleats!  At Sammy's request, dad is coaching.  She started the season with a goal in her first game!
