Backyard Camping

This summer the kids went camping for the first time.  Since it was our first time and the weather was consistently rainy this summer, we camped in the backyard.  We had the required hot dogs and s'mores, followed by a movie on the iPad in the tent.  The kids thought it was awesome, I thought it was too hot.

Valley Park

On the 4th, we drove over to Grandview to check out their new rope park.  Their favorite part was pretending they were competing on America Ninja Warrior where they had to make it from one end of the park to the other without touching the ground.   The kids can't wait to go back!

4th of July

The 4th of July is always a fun day in our neighborhood!  Again this year, we were up early to set up for the party and decorate our bikes.  We continued our traditions this year with the parade, games, water balloons and fireworks with our neighbors.

Spring Baseball

Andy played machine pitch baseball again this spring with his school friends.  Soccer is his true love, but he still enjoyed the season.

Tim and Linda's Wedding

In June, my cousin Tim was married.  The California cousins, our new cousin from DC, grandma and grandpa, and uncle Matt all made the trip.  It was a beautiful wedding and a fabulous reception downtown on the roof of the Baltimore Club.  The kids ruled the dance floor and took over the DJ's job.  It was a great weekend family and we are so happy they all made the trip to KC!

World's of Fun

At the beginning of this very wet summer, we took advantage of a free Saturday to head over to World's of Fun.  The rain kept the crowds down, but didn't get in the way of our fun!  As always, the kids loved Planet Snoopy, but Andy was a little more adventurous this summer and rode 3 roller coaster.
