End of the Year Dance Program
Over the last year, Sammy had her first introduction to dance. She took Pre-Dance at Bellar with Miss Sharon. The class was an introduction to ballet, tap, gymnastics and always ended with an art project. Sammy's favorite part was the project followed by gymnastics. We have been treated to a daily exhibition of cart wheels, summersaults and bridges throughout the year. Last week we had a chance to see her in action with her class. Instead of a recital, families are invited to the last class of the year where the girls show off their stuff! Sammy makes a very beautiful ballerina. Unfortunately, she takes after her mom and isn't interested in any more dance. She does, however, want to continue gymnastics!

Pre-K Open House
Sammy recently had her Pre-K Open House. We were treated to some songs and donuts. We also had the oppurtunity to check out her artwork from throughout the year. She is super excited to move up to Transitional Kindergarten in the fall, but she will miss all of her wonderful little friends from Preschool as they move on to Kindergarten.

Pre-K Field Trip
Yesterday, Scott drove Sammy and 2 of her classmates to their
class field trip at the Lakeside Nature Center near the Kansas City Zoo. They started off with snacks before
heading inside to learn about and see an owl, a tiny baby possum, and a snake (Sammy even worked up the courage to touch it). Both had a great time!

Easter Weekend
We had a great Easter weekend! We started Saturday off dying Easter eggs, followed by an Easter egg hunt at the club. They were very excited to wake up to another Easter egg hunt and Willie the Wilcat Pillow Pets. After church and lunch with Grandma, we enjoyed a warm afternoon riding bikes and playing with friends.

Spring Break
Last month, we took the kids to Utah for their first ski trip. Fortunately for us, they LOVED IT! They both spent 3 days in ski school at Alta followed by a very snowy day at Solitude with us. We also worked in a few runs at the tube park. It was fun to return to Salt Lake and catch up with friends. The kids enjoyed learning to ski at the same resort where their dad learned to ski. After a week on the slopes, the kids are ready to move to Utah and become ski bums.
