Last month, Grandma Faye and I braved the heat and took the kids to the zoo. We had a great time riding the train, the carousel, and checking out new areas of the zoo. The hightlight of the day was picking out a new stuff animal to remember the trip.

Misc Summer Pictures
The summer has been flying by. These are just a few pictures from our summer adventures.
The Overland Park Arboretum:
We took Scott to the Arboretum for his birthday. We also did a little practice hike in preparation for our upcoming trip to Colorado.

Touch a Truck:
Waiting in line to sit in a truck is not my favorite way to spend a Sunday, but it made two kids happy.

The Last Day of Kindergarten
Today was Andy's last day of Kindergarten. They started the day with the Flower Ceremony where they give their 6th grade buddy a flower and wish them well. This was followed by an all school Talent Show and a pizza party for lunch. Andy thought if was a pretty fun day of school! I can't say Andy is that excited for summer break. He requested another month of school. He loves going to school and will miss all of his new friends and recess. This is likely the only year that he feels this way.

Happy Easter!
This last week included our usual Easter traditions. Last weekend the kids enjoyed the annual Easter Egg Hunt at the club.

Yesterday, we dyed our Easter eggs. This task gets easier every year. This time, I'm the only one who broke eggs.

The kids enjoyed hunting Easter eggs and sorting through their candy on Easter morning.
