Weekend in the Big O

The kids and I spent 3 days in Omaha with my mom over the weekend. The weekend highlights included fireworks, a trip to the Henry Doorly Zoo and Lauritzen Gardens. We had a great time!

Andy's a big fan of the giraffes. We rode the new Skyfari (ski lift that runs from one end of the park to the other) right over the top of them. This was definitely a highlight for Andy.

Of course, we had to ride the train!

We toured the Garden on a tram with stops to check out the trains. The model train garden was definitely the highlight of the Gardens for Andy. The Garden is also home to two very large locomotives that overlook the Interstate and the Missouri River. Andy was in train heaven.
