Breakfast in the driveway

Over the last month, construction crews have been preparing our street for resurfacing. On Friday, the resurfacing began at 7am. They started by removing the old asphalt (seen in the picture) then layed down the new. Approximately, 15 dump trucks were lined up down the street waiting for their turn to catch the old asphalt. A similar line of trucks then queued up to bring in the new asphalt. As you can imagine, when you combine long lines of dump trucks, a bobcat, a road grinder and steamrollers, Andy was pretty excited...almost speechless. Since they started at 7 in front of our house, he ate his breakfast in his PJ's out on the driveway. We wouldn't want to miss any of the action. It took two days to resurface the whole neighborhood, so this was two days of constant entertainment.
