Last Day of School!

Yesterday was Sammy's last day of Transitional Kindergarten!  She celebrated the occasion with a special lunch at Panera with daddy.

                                      

Andy finished 2nd Grade today!  Daddy treated him with a trip to the movies to see Captain America, The Winter Soldier.  He has was super pumped!

Last week, Andy also had a school program.  They shared the night with the Kindergartners, singing a few songs for us.

Spring Soccer

This weekend we wrapped up our spring soccer season.  The second grade Trailwood boys had an amazing run, finishing 8-0-1!  They played some intense soccer games and made impressive improvement over the season under Coach Scott.  We are so proud of the boys!

Last week, Sammy's Transitional Kindergarten class had their open house.  They spent the morning sharing their artwork and songs from the year with us.  Next stop...Kindergarten!

Fun day at the Arboretum

Today, Andy had the day off!  Fortunately, so did I.  This kids and I joined the Morris family on a field trip to the Overland Park Arboretum.  It was perfect day for a picnic and hike.

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend at our house was very relaxing.  The weather was perfect!  The weekend was filled with the usual activities of dying eggs and hunting eggs followed by church and eating out after.  The weather was so nice on Sunday that the kids and I went for a bike ride around the park together.  This was a first for us! 

Spring Break

This year for Spring Break, we hit the slopes again.  We drove to Colorado and stayed at the base of Copper Mountain.  The kids spent 3 days in ski school and the fourth day we all skied together.  They learned a lot and were very impressive by the end of the week.  Andy even skied his first blue run, appropriately named Andy's Encore!  

The highlight of the day was always when we picked them up from school.  The lifts were always open for another hour, so they had a chance to ski with us and show us all of their new tricks.  For Andy, this usually involved tree trails and jumps.  It won't be long before they will be out-skiing their parents!
