Easter Weekend

We had a great Easter weekend!  We started Saturday off dying Easter eggs, followed by an Easter egg hunt at the club.  They were very excited to wake up to another Easter egg hunt and Willie the Wilcat Pillow Pets.  After church and lunch with Grandma, we enjoyed a warm afternoon riding bikes and playing with friends.

Spring Break

Last month, we took the kids to Utah for their first ski trip.  Fortunately for us, they LOVED IT!  They both spent 3 days in ski school at Alta followed by a very snowy day at Solitude with us.  We also worked in a few runs at the tube park.  It was fun to return to Salt Lake and catch up with friends.  The kids enjoyed learning to ski at the same resort where their dad learned to ski.  After a week on the slopes, the kids are ready to move to Utah and become ski bums.

Snow Storm #1

Last Thursday, we had our first round of snow with about 12" of snow fall.  For the kids, this meant no school, snow forts, snowmen and sledding.  I spent the day at the hospital while Scott spent the day digging out cars stuck on our corner.

Snow Storm #2

Today we woke up to another 10" of snow, just 5 days after our last storm.  Of course, this meant another day off school, another snowman and snow fort, more sledding and more shoveling.

Open House

On February 7th, it was Open House at Andy's school.  His first grade class put on a play, Stone Soup.  We were very impressed by the performance and Andy rocked his speaking parts!

Andy Turns 7!

Today was Andy's 7th birthday.  He started his day with some birthday presents and pancakes.  He had a fun day at school too.  Today his class decorated gingerbread houses.  Since I took the day off, I volunteered to help.  I'm still sticky!  Scott surprised Andy with lunch and I surprised his class as the mystery reader.  My pick, The Polar Express, was a big hit.

After school, we took Andy and his friends, Cooper and Ian, to Legoland.  The boys wore themselves out building racecars, watching 4D movies, and riding the rides.  They also built Santa's workshop with the Master Builder.  We topped the evening off with dinner at Fritz's.  It was a good day to be Andy!
