Arizona Day 1

Over MLK weekend, we headed to Arizona for some cousin time!  The weekend started off with a steamboat ride in the Superstitious Mountains and a stop at a ghost town for a gun fight and train ride.  The day was topped off with some delicious ribs at Waldo's BBQ.

Christmas 2013

I'm a little late with the Christmas post this year.  Santa brought us a new computer and it has taken me awhile to figure it out.  We celebrated this year with our usual traditions.  On Christmas Eve, we decorated cookies for Santa, opened our new Christmas PJ's, and prepared for Santa's arrival.  This year, Santa apparently spent a lot of money at the Lego store.  There were a lot of Lego's under our tree this year for both kids.  We are still working on putting them all together.  American Girl, Under Armour and Rainbow Loom were also well represented this year!

The First Snow!

Yesterday we had our first snow!  We spent a good portion of the day sledding and drinking hot cocoa.  We are excited to be having a white Christmas this year!

Andy Turns 8!

We celebrated Andy's 8th birthday last weekend.  On his actual birthday, we had an indoor soccer game where he scored 2 goals and a basketball game where he played some mean defense.  After all that activity, we relaxed with a movie.  We went to see Disney's "Frozen" followed by pizza and ice cream!  Brrrrr!

On Sunday, we had his party at Incredibowl.  He spent the afternoon with 10 of his friends bowling and putt putt golfing.  He had a blast and we survived!

Christmas is Coming!

We are getting ready at our house for Santa's arrival.  The Christmas tree is decorated and the stockings are hung.

Next on the list is a visit to see Santa.  Once again, the kids had breakfast with Santa at church where they made crafts and shared their Christmas lists with St. Nick.

Once again this year, we tested our decorating skills with the Milroys and McKees to see who could cover a gingerbread house with the most frosting and candy.  This has become a very fun and much anticipated tradition.  I suspect that Sarah, Colleen and I will be decorating gingerbread house together well after the kids have lost interest!

The finished product!

Halloween

Halloween is always a busy day at our house and this year was no exception.  Between carving pumpkins, school parties, costume parades and the annual neighborhood party followed by Trick or Treating, we were exhausted by Friday.  If schools were smart, they would make the day after Halloween a holiday!
