New House!
This week we said goodbye to the blue and hello to Johnson County Beige. Over the last 4 days, we had our house painted. It will take me awhile to get use to calling it the brown house on the corner instead of blue. I will miss the blue, but the new color looks good, even if it's a bit on the boring, conservative side.

The First Day of Kindergarten
Today, Andy started Kindergarten! He seemed completely unfazed by the whole experience and I think he was a little perplexed as to why it was a big deal to Scott and I. He did enjoy having both parents take him to school. At pickup time, he was pretty excited about his day. Some of the highlights included an art project, 5 "gotcha" cards for good behavior, 3(!) recesses, and eating his first school lunch with his 6th grade buddy. This evening he did admit that he was a little nervous this morning, but only because there was so many things in his new classroom (it is packed). Not to worry, he quickly realized that all those things look like fun!

Sammy's 3rd Birthday!
Today Sammy turned 3! She added to her princess collection with some new Disney princess figures from Andy. Both, the Hello Kitty bag they were wrapped in, and the actual gift, received screams of joy. The new bookshelf from Scott and I was met with a little less excitement. We celebrated the day with brunch and the Winnie the Pooh movie.
The weekend was also notable for Sammy's first haircut. On Saturday, she tagged along with me to the Salon and we both had our hair cut. She did great sitting on my lap for her haircut, which was a very minimal trim around the bottom to even things up a bit. It's taken my three years to cut those curls, I wasn't about to part with any more than necessary!

Saturday at the K
On Saturday, we joined the whole Cooper clan at the K for a very warm evening of baseball. It was an impressive turn out by the Coopers. We enjoyed seeing everyone and look forward to this summer tradition continuing!
