I'm Due Today!

Today is Sammy's due date! She is growing fast and we have finally moved past the preemie clothes and on to some of her newborn clothes. I just hope we are big enough to wear some of our cute dresses before it gets cold.

Three Little Monkeys

Aunt Michelle and Cousin Abby came to KC to meet Sammy today. Andy and Abby had a great time crawling after each other, sharing mac n cheese, and making a lot of noise. That didn't seem to bother Sammy, she slept through it all.





Sammy is now a little over a week old. This is a rare glimpse of her beautiful eyes. She is checking out her brother and cousin Abby.

I'm The Big Brother

Andy is very proud of his new role as big brother. He can't get enough of his baby sister. We frequently hear "I need to kiss baby Sammy", "What baby Sammy doing (usually heard during feedings)?", "Hi baby Sammy!", "I need to hold baby Sammy...all done." It has been a lot of fun watching him interact with his new little sister over the last few days.



Sammy continues to be a very good baby and we hope that continues..one colicky baby in a lifetime is enough. We took her to the doctor today for her weight check (the same one that resulted in a NICU admission for her brother). She passed with flying colors weighing in at 5#10oz. This is up two ounces from two days ago when she was discharged from the hospital. She is already showing up her big brother!



Since Sammy is still a little on the small size, she has been borrowing her brother's preemie clothes until she grows into her own. I think she pulls off the rescue vehicle gowns pretty well.

Coming Home!

Andy brought his baby sister home from the hospital today. Her clothes are a little big, but she looked pretty cute all dressed up to come home (thanks Amanda for the outfit!).

Andy was pretty excited to "help" push the cart out to the car with his baby sister on board.

While Sammy was in the hospital, Andy received a special "Big Brother" band for identification. He was very proud of his "bandaid".

Welcome Baby Sammy!

Samantha Ann Cooper has arrived!

She was born last night 8-7-08 at 8:57.
She weighed 5# 15oz and was 18 in. long.



Big Brother Andy was pretty excited that she has finally "come out."
